Hi
My H1 is due for extension this year end.
Valid period of H1 remaining is 1 1/2 year since extension
I understand that H1 extension has to go through the rigorous procedure nowadays.
It needs client letter stating that project will last for 1 year.
Getting such letter is not possible.
So having I140 approved makes thing easy for H1 extension? Or same process for h1 extension is followed

Having I-140 approved only makes you eligible for a 3 yr extension, provided you submit all the documents required in normal H1 process. So, you still have to go through the same process.

My wife and I are scheduled to go for fingerprinting this month. We have a year old son and obviously we are planning to take him with us as well. Do I need to take any form of ID / birth certificate of my son (obviously he is not to be fingerprinted) but not sure what the rules are with respect to carrying infants for the interview. Anyone who has fingerprinted in a similar situation?

I find the Blue Tits difficult, maybe this small bird has very fuzzy feathers, but they always come out looking a bit unsharp and scruffy. Sorry about the twigs, he was sitting in a quite dense bush. What do you think; sharpening OK, and should I try to clone out some branches?

Hi,
I have a pretty simple question.
A person decides to change employers, moving from company A to company B. It's been 180 days after 485 filing.
Question: what does company B have to do to legally take this person on as full time employee? Is the process any different than taking any other american resident employee? The way I understand is it is not any different.
Please advise,

If you are looking to use your EAD then I believe their is a form that you fill in with your employer and off you go. Informing USCIS or not will be your choice read around in this forum to find different opinions and more info on AC21.

yes, in general as per law, you have to file tax returns to both states.
But most of the desi-employers try to use same state that they used first part of year and continue with that till end of year. But in the next year, they start with new state. This happens all the time with most of the desi-employers. There is no problem. You are not skipping any taxes, it is your employer's responsibility. If your employer says, he is working here and paying state taxes, then thats it, nobody can't say/argue anything.

My wife is on H4 since 2004 and we filed H1 (Jan. 2007) and her H1 status is pending at this moment. I am about to file 485 (July 2007 current bulletin) very soon.
I have mentioned that she is on H4 in the I485 related docs. I thought her H4 becomes invalid ONLY after H1 is APPROVED. Is this correct? Please let me know.

Hi.
Company A was holding my H1 and i was working at client location at client C thorugh a vendor B. Company A was not paying me correctly and was bugging during my payments.
I dint had any writen contract with A saying i would stay this long Nor any Non copetenct Agrement between me and Company A. Company B is a good friend of mine So i swicthed and transfered by H1 to Company X and still working at C through Company B. So he ended my contract with A and started with X I am not sure if Company A and B had any non compitency Aggrement about me.(I dint Sign any papers). Now A is calling and leaving voice mails saying you are still working at C and will take leagal action on me. Company A still Owes me lot of money around 30K how should my mney back.

I got laid off recently.
Now got job with 2 companies. 1 small and 1 big. 3 questions:
(1) Should I select based on my salary? Big company offers more salary.
(2) I have to now start Greencard again. So should I choose big company or small ? Both said they will consider sponsoring if performance is good.
(3) If I transfer H1B Is Big company likely to get RFE or small?

As expected, this will clear out early 2006 cases.
Also note that now EB2 India and China has same PD and that means EB2 China may consume some of the spillover (or fall down/across) numbers.

I need some advice from you guys
My initial receipt date for I-485 from Vermont service center was July 7th 2007. But when I-485 was transferred to Texas service center, receipt date on I-485 is showing as September 11th 2007. Can we do anything to correct the wrong receipt dates as this might have significant impact on my processing times. Please advice

same thing happen to me too, we applied for correction and got corrected PD after one month.
Since my PD was/is not current waiting one more month was not a problem for me.
